Stay-at-home mom to Commercial Agent at The Firm.

At 16, my dad got the offer to move us to Scottsdale, Arizona. I had friends, a boyfriend, a school I barely went to, and you want to move me at 16? To a place where I know no one? Safe to say, we did not move. Fast forward to 2018 and I am packing up my car with half of my clothes, road cigarettes, a killer playlist, and a friend who wanted to go on an adventure. I was leaving the place I knew for the most forming 17 years of someone's life, or so you think that. God wanted me here, my family here, and like Jonah going to Nineveh, He was going to make it happen.

I got a job as a production assistant with my dad's company, BTS Inc. I quickly moved up in that position and soon was getting the highest raise out of the whole production team. But after many personal issues that I tried to leave behind in New York, I lost that job and had to figure out what was next. I got a full-time job as a print and copy associate at OfficeMax. I loved it, and as I quickly found myself second manager, I also found myself pregnant with my son.

By the time he came, I was settling comfortably into stay-at-home mom life. Covid hit one month after my son was born, which was perfect timing for a new mom. I spent my days walking the trail with my mom and my son. A few months later, I was getting married on Mission Bay in San Diego.

September of 2021, a few weeks after finding out I was pregnant again, with one year of marriage under my belt, I quickly found myself as a scared single mom moving into her parents' house wondering what the future held.

After six months with a newborn and getting through online real estate school, I finished the class. On my fourth time, I passed the school exam, grateful it only took me four times and not twelve like the other test taker in my session. A few weeks later, after a rough night with my nine-month-old daughter, I passed my state exam on the first try by the grace of God.

After weeks of interviewing residential brokerages, I decided I wanted to pursue commercial. With no knowledge of any real estate but grit and drive, I found myself a mentorship with the broker of The Firm RE.

Talk about on-the-job training. My first start-to-finish deal was an office building in a rougher spot in Phoenix that sold for $1,300,000. This deal included it all: seller financing for $300k, a detox center purchasing, which means all the red tape, no COO on file, escrow holdbacks while we get an architect who gets things done fast. My broker said, "run with it."

I googled (before AI was very prevalent, can we believe that was only two years ago!?) terms, what they meant, learning them in five minutes, and then jumping on a call with the group talking like I'd known this for years. I have the drive, I want to be good at this, I want to be knowledgeable. Which brings me here, two years after starting in real estate, completing over $20M in sales, with a passion for people and real estate in a way I never imagined! The relationships I've made, the people I have met, is something that I would not have been able to do without pursuing this career!

Now my focus is on reaching the investors who have the capital and need somewhere smart to put it, the aspiring new business that needs a cool historic place to call their home base, a small micro-school that needs somewhere to teach our future in a loving way, or a property you can show love to and flip it to put a little more money in your pocket. You name it, I want to do it with you. If I don't have the answers, I will find them.
